Both pivot levers (1,2) are pivotable on a pivot axis (11,12) and are attached to the tail flap (3). Either a guide, formed of a journal (6) about whose axis a gear wheel (8) is fixed to the lever or meshes with a rack (10), or a connecting lever (16) which is pivotally linked to the guide (14), pivotally engages on the free lever arm of a two armed pivot lever which is pivotable about a fixed axis (5). Each of the two pivot axis are formed in the front lower region of the tail flap in front of then vehicle boot and moves upwards and outwards. The guide (7) and rack run in the long direction of the vehicle. ADVANTAGE - It prevents the contacting of the tail flap with neighbouring components and it does not disturb the working of the boot and protects against injury.
