The unit compensates a leakage color in color filter gaps and improves a purity of color. The unit forms color filters (7)(8) in between driving cell (2) and compensated cell (3'). Color filter (8) lies between color filters (7) of driving cell (2) and also lies alternately at the same intervals as those of the filters (7) in color filter (7) of driving cell (2). A driving cell (2) of color filter (8) equalizes the width (b') of color filter (7). The unit improves a color purity of R,G,B in color liquid crystal display unit to compensate a leakage color in color filter ,and a color spread by distribution of wavelength Δn.
