A multispindle cabling twister has tension equalisers consisting of two or more roller pairs (37,39) whose mounting (31) can rotate about an axis at right angles to the roller axes. Both yarns (1,11) are taken through enclosed ducts (41,42) which are partially bounded by one of the rollers.
