The invention relates to a screw extruder to which the material to be processed is fed, via a heatable hopper fitting-piece, to form a rubber-compound metal slide-film. The heating is expediently carried out by means of electrical heating cartridges which are provided in the fitting-piece and by means of which the latter is heated up to temperatures of from 40 to 190 DEG C, depending on the material.
