Electric motor with incorporated rpm sensor - uses motor control voltage for providing earth voltage for rotation sensor via diode half-bridge

The electric motor is coupled to a control device via electrical leads providing the voltage for the motor and the rpm sensor (2) and via a signal line for the sensor signal. The voltage terminals (21,22) of the rotation sensor are coupled to one of the motor terminals (8,9) and to one terminal of the operating voltage source via the signal line (10). Pref. the earth terminal (22) of the rpm sensor is coupled via a diode half-bridge (6,7) with the motor terminals of the electric motor. ADVANTAGE - Reduced wiring complexity, high level of reliability.
