The present invention provides an aldol condensation dehydration catalyst having high performance and giving condensation dehydrates at a high efficiency which is obtained by heating a mixture of an aqueous medium, magnesium oxide having an average particle size of 100 mu m or smaller and aluminum oxide and/or aluminum hydroxide having an average particle size of 100 mu m or smaller at 350-600 DEG C. The present invention further provides a process for producing the catalyst and a process for producing aldol condensation dehydrates.
