METHOD OF PRODUCING AND EVALUATING A PULSE FOR AUTOMATIC STOP OF A PISTON COMPRESSOR

This method can be used in the event of breakdown of the automatic valve. The required pulse is gained through the measurement and evaluation of differences in temperature between individual cylinders or cylinder heads against one another and their comparison with a preset value of temperature difference. On exceeding the measuring value of the temperature difference in relation to the reference value of the safety device an impulse is created for switching off the compressor drive and can determine the point of breakdown.
