Recycling polyurethane foam

A method of recycling polyurethane foam product comprises reacting the foam product with a digestion medium selected from compositions containing free amine and/or free hydroxyl groups, high boiling point oils and high boiling point waxes. Preferably the digestion medium is a low viscosity polyester or polyether polyol. The resulting product may be used in the production of polyurethane foam by incorporating it in a reaction mixture together with an isocyanate and a blowing agent.
