PURPOSE:To secure the variable threshold of the repeater based on the N/M ratio to measure the error rate by dividing the codes using the binary signals of the opposite polarity into the N- and M-unit groups and securing the single polarity for each group. CONSTITUTION:Binary codes ''1'' and ''0'' are supplied to input terminal 2-1. With supply of ''0'', binary signal ''01'' of the opposite polarity is delivered to output terminal 2-3. While with supply of ''1'', the N-notation counter operates first. And ''11'' is delivered to terminal 2-3 until N-units of ''1'' are supplied. When the N-notation counter counts N-units of ''1'', the M-notation counter starts counting of ''1''. Then the M-notation counter operates continuously until M-units of ''00'' are delivered. In this way, the DC component can be generated to the signal line according to the ratio of N/M, which can be applied conveniently for the test with variation of the threshold level of the repeater. |
