A management device is proposed for luggage trolleys, in particular in airports, railway stations and similar extensive installations in which, when mass transport means arrive for the passengers, a sufficient number of luggage trolleys must be made available at the respective place of arrival and at the time of arrival of the mass transport means in order to transport the luggage of the passengers to the individual transport means, detection of the location of the individual luggage trolleys by means of radio being used in order to reduce the necessary expenditure on material and personnel, for which purpose there is provision in particular for each luggage trolley to be equipped with a receiver/transmitter unit, and for the entire surface of the installation to be divided into individual areas, each of which is equipped with a fixed transmitter/receiver, the transmitters/receivers of the individual areas being connected to a central data acquisition and processing system. <IMAGE> |
