<p>PURPOSE: To provide a horizontal bandsaw machine which is capable of achieving excellent cut of a workpiece covered with an oxide film, requiring minimum erosion of a cutting selvage at the final stage of a cutting process and short work time, and which has excellent workability in a rectangular parallelepiped material. CONSTITUTION: A tool rest 11 is journaled at a first guiding member 20 so as to oscillate around a horizontal shaft 30 perpendicular to the traveling direction of a bandsaw 12 and guided at the second guiding member 21 so as to travel within a boundary member in a vertical plane and oscillate around the horizontal shaft. The cutting rest 11 is tilted relative to a horizontal line at the initial stage of a cutting process by action of traveling means 40, 41, and the tilting is fixed by a stopper means. Its recovery to a horizontal position is made at the final stage of a cutting process and its attitude is fixed by another stopper means.</p> |
