PURPOSE: To provide an installation tool capable of inserting a tanged or tangless insert into a tapped hole at a parent material. CONSTITUTION: This installation tool is constituted of a tubular member 12 and a mandrel assembly 14. In inserting a tangless insert 11, a hook part 34 of a pivoting pawl 30 in a rod 20 of the mandrel assembly 14 inside the tubular member 12 is fitted into a recessed part on the front end inside of the tangless insert 11, and the insert 11 is screwed into a tapped hole at a parent material 17. In inserting a tanged insert 13, a ledge 60 formed on the front end 21 of the rod 20 catches a tang 15 of the tanged insert 13, and the insert 13 is screwed into the tapped hole at the parent material 17. |
