PURPOSE:To use cover members during radial scan to completely cover the overall periphery of a manually rotating portion which enables adjustment of the direction of an ultrasonic vibrator. CONSTITUTION:The main body casing 11 of a control unit 10 is provided with an interior cover cylinder 16 having pairs of openings 16a, 17a and an exterior cover cylinder 17 rotatable around the interior cover cylinder, so as to surround the manually rotating portion 14a of a rotor 14. A pair of sidewardly projecting locking protrusions 8a are formed at a connecting portion 8 and a lever is provided with a magnet 40 by which a switch 41 for controlling a motor used in radial scan is turned on and off without contact. When the openings 16a, 17a are adjusted to each other, part of the manually rotating portion 14a is exposed to the outside for a manually operable state in which the direction of an ultrasonic vibrator can be adjusted. |
