PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacturing molded hollow articles, wherein an ununiform wall thickness is prevented and a wall thickness of a hollow part can be molded in a substantially uniform state. CONSTITUTION:A weir 2 is provided at a part of a hollow part forming portion 12 in a cavity 1 of a mold along the longitudinal direction of said forming portion 12. The weir 2 is provided on the upstream side of the flow of resin. Resin in a softened state is injected into the cavity 1 of the mold and, further, by blowing pressurized gas into the resin, a hollow part is molded. Owing to the existence of the weir, the resin, which is caused to flow into the hollow part forming portion 12, is brought into contact with the wall surface of the hollow part forming portion 12 in a substantially uniform state. Accordingly, the resin is cooled and hardened uniformly from its periphery, so that the thickness of a wall of the hollow part becomes substantially uniform. |
