PURPOSE:To provide an automatic measuring method by which accumulation of errors is not brought about and the displacing work is simple and hence, can be finished in a short time and the displacing accuracy is not essential and further the position of a shielding machine can be automatically measured in a straight or curved position. CONSTITUTION:A standard 51 is set in a tunnel 63 and the position of this standard 51 is measured by a general measuring method. Folding scale type detector 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d and a variable length-folding scale type detector 21 are connected to the standard 51 and the other end of the variable length-folding scale type detector 21 is connected to a reference point-instrument 53 installed in the shielding machine 61. Measured figures of respecctive encoders and length- sensors are obtained to measure the position of standard 53 in the shielding machine 61. The position of standard 53 in the shielding machine 61 is measured while adding folding scale type detectors if necessary. The standard 51 is displaced at an arbitrary point. |
