PURPOSE:To securely weld overlaid films and cut them simultaneously irrespective of property of a synthetic resin film. CONSTITUTION:A nichrome wire 2 for welding and a nichrome wire 3 for cutting are placed corresponding to welded and cut portions of overlaid films 1a, 1b. The films 1a, 1b and the nichrome wires are brought into pressure contact by a pressing member 4, and power is supplied to these nichrome wires with time difference applied from a circuit having a timer, thereby applying different quantities of heat to the welded portion and to the cut portion. Excessive heat is not applied to the welded portion and excessive contraction of the film is prevented, so that a failure such as a hole may not occur on the welded portion. Especially this exhibits a significant effect when applied to welding and simultaneously cutting a bridged biaxial oriented polyethylene film having large heat contraction ratio. |
