<p>PURPOSE:To easily filler and recover a high-purity Al melt by constituting all of the molten Al inlet side rack plate, tapping side rack plate and filter tubes of a molten Al filter tank and the mortar for joining these members of aluminous refractory materials. CONSTITUTION:The inlet side rack plate 4 and tapping side rack plate 5 of the filter unit 3 of the molten Al filter tank 1 are constituted of the dense alumia refractories having at least >=85% Al2O3 purity. The tubes 6 for filtering the molten Al are constituted of the porous aluminous refractory materials. The aluminous mortar is used for the mortar 20 for joining the inlet side rack plate 4, the tapping side rack plate 5 and the alumina tubes 6 for filtering the molten Al. Since all these materials are aluminous, the coefft. of thermal expansion by the high temp. of the molten Al to be heated is the same and the generation of the spacing by a difference in the coefft. of thermal expansion therebetween is prevented. The leakage of the molten Al which is not filtered to the tapping side from the spacings and the contamination of the molten Al with impurities do not arise.</p> |
