PURPOSE:To prevent burning of a fuel injection device by monitoring the operation of a fuel injection device and an engine stop command, and making the stop command effective at a point of time the fuel injection device is not operated when an engine stop command is given to cut off an ignition signal. CONSTITUTION:In an engine stop control device 100, a detecting circuit 120 has an input terminal grounded through a stop switch 110, whereby a stop command can be detected from the condition of the stop switch 110. An output signal from the detecting circuit 120 and each driving signal and an ignition signal from ECU 38 are input to a cut-off control circuit 130. According to the input signals, the operating condition of a fuel injection device 24 is monitored, and when the fuel injection device 24 is not operated and a detection signal from the detecting circuit 120 shows the stop, a cut-off signal is output to cut off an ignition signal from the ECU38. Thus, breakage of a fuel injection device due to flying sparks can be prevented.
