PURPOSE:To provide an automatic measuring method by which accumulation of errors is not brought about and the displacing work is simple and hence, can be finished in a short time and further the position of a shielding machine can be automatically measured. CONSTITUTION:The position of target 11 is measured by a general measuring method. The position and posture of a total station 7a is reversely calculated with the measurement of target 11 by the total station 7a mounted on a carrier 5 and the measurement in the carrier direction by a gyrocompass 12. Since the relative positional relation of the total station 7a, 7b is already known, the position and the posture of the total station 7b are also calculated. The position of target 3 of the shielding machine 1, which is moving forward, is measured by means of the total station 7b. When the shielding machine excavates by a specified distance, the target 1 is displaced. In this time, the position and posture of the total station 7a are stored in the memory and the position of target 11 is obtained by the total station 7a. The position of shielding machine 1 is measured from the target 11 displaced as a reference point. |
