The drive system for the screw ejector has a drive (4) and connected transmission unit (8) which turns the ejector screw (5) about its own axis and about the longitudinal axis of the silo. This transmission unit comprises a gearing (8) with prim. axis connected to the drive, sec. axis connected to one or more ejector screws (5) and a third axis (10) running in the same direction as the prim. axis so that the ejector screws are turned about the axis of the silo with a brake moment (B') counteracting the rotation (B) of the third axis (10). The gearing is pref. an angular gearing where the torque produced by the drive is transferred through bevel gear wheels (9) from the prim. axis to the sec. axis and further onto the third axis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Only a single motor need be provided for a simplified yet operationally reliable discharge system for removing material from silo. |
