PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material reduced in background fog due to the effect of temp. or humidity, forming a recording image having preservability against chemicals such as oils and fats, a solvent or a plasticizer and having excellent recording sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a coupler is provided on a support, as the coupler, a zinc salt of 4-[3-(p-tolylsulfonyl)propyloxy]salicylic acid and 2,4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone are together used. |
