PURPOSE:To execute laser beam machining with high quality and with high precision by simplifying complicated focus adjustment, reducing consumption of assist gas, and priventing damage and contamination of a lens. CONSTITUTION:The machine is provided with an adjustment mechanism which can move the end face of a fiber 101 to a lens 104. A laser light focal position is set to a little upper part than the surface of a working object. A cover 506 is provided in the periphery of the tip part of a working head 503. Between a lens 602 in working head 603 and a working object 604, a protective plate whose material is the same as that of the lens 602 is provided. According to such a constitution, the machine can be miniaturized and its cost can be reduced in connection with simplification of adjustment of a focus, and also, the running cost is reduced. |
