A flight simulator comprises: (1) at least one element whose state can change during the flight; (2) associated servo-means coupled to the, or every, element and comprising: a. an amplifier b. a linear motor coupled to the said amplifier output for control purposes c. a power-to-electrical-signal converter located between the motor and the element and whose output is connected to a first input of the amplifier; d. a position-to-electrical-signal converter which is arranged on the element and whose output is connected to a second input of the amplifier; and e. a computer which on the basis of the flight circumstances and the relevant characteristics of the, or each, element calculates a power corresponding to the state of the element, and sends a corresponding signal to the amplifier. The motor is a linear electric motor.
