PURPOSE:To provide a sweetener for chewing gum effective in improving the initial texture (chewiness) of a chewing gum and improving the palatability in spite of low cariogenicity and low calorific value compared with sugar. CONSTITUTION:The sweetener for chewing gum contains maltitol and lactitol monohydrate. The ratio of the lactitol monohydrate is 3-60wt.% based on the sum of the maltitol and the lactitol monohydrate. |
