PURPOSE:To provide the high-definition liquid crystal display device which can be prevented from deteriorating in contrast. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display device which has a liquid crystal layer transmitting light beam flux emitted from a light source and a reflector has a concave meniscus lens 30 that is arranged on the incidence side of the liquid crystal layer on the optical axis passing a pixel element and has a convex spherical refracting surface 31 which is convex to the side where the light beam flux is made incident and a concave spherical refracting surface 32 which is concave to the projection side so that the rear focus of the convex refracting surface 31 meets the front focus of the concave refracting surface 32. |
