The two part device consists of the first part, a tubular socket (1), which is machined internally to fit over the head of the screw or bolt. Around the outside, the external surface of the wall (2) is machined to form longitudinal grooves (2). The second part of the device is formed as a handle, terminated by an open, elastic ring, with the thickness decreasing towards the open end (7). An area of one or several ridges (4), corresponding in size to the grooves on the external wall of the socket, is formed at the end of the elastic ring. Rotating the handle closes the opening (7) in the ring and drives the ridges into the grooves to produce the required grip to drive the socket. USE/ADVANTAGE - It produces a device with a free return in a simple and economic form.
