The mounting device includes a short stud (40), projecting below the lower rim (31) of the reflector (30), centrally and has a concave arc smooth waisted surface. The split receiving socket (21) has inner convex surfaces of matching curvature, which form with the stud a universal articulation. The socket is formed by a symmetrical pair of jaws (21a), moulded in the bottom edge of the turned-over lamp-glass (20) rim (22). Adjoining notches (21c) impart sufficient flexibility to admit the stud through an introductory V-notch (21'a). Alternatively, the socket is formed by matching notches, with convex surfaces, in the lamp-glass and lamp-housing rims. USE - Headlamp beam alignment, in conjunction with usual adjusters.
