PURPOSE:To improve a control characteristic of a motor by an error data conversion circuit without changing a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:When load variation is made considerable in running of a magnetic tape with low load, error data from a speed gain multiplication circuit 9 is inputted to an error data conversion circuit 10 which discriminates a code of error data and multiplies error data by a value being able to set arbitrarily after inversion of the code and outputs a switching signal of the direction of rotation of a capstan motor 4. And after error data converted by the error data conversion circuit 10 is converted by a D/A converter 14, inputted to a driving circuit 16 as analog voltage. Thereby, a control characteristic as a speed control loop is improved, speed deviation of a running magnetic tape can be decreased, and information recorded in the magnetic tape can be accurately read. |
