PURPOSE:To restrain surface pressure drop in the slot after fitting of a cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:After a superconducting field coil 25 and insulators 28, 29, 30 thereabout are loaded in a slot 18, a pressure ring 32 having a jack bolt 33 is fixed to the outer peripheral part of a coil fixing shaft 2 in order to preliminarily press the superconducting field coil 25 from above the insulator 29. Consequently, undesired gaps produced in the superconducting field coil 25 at the time of winding a superconducting conductor 25a are eliminated and initial creep is produced in the superconducting field coil 25.
