The bowl (100) comprises a chamber (11) through which the fluid circulates, equipped with a base (11), a cover (112), an inlet (120) at the top of one side wall (113) of the chamber, and an outlet (130) opposite it. The chamber contains a separating partition (140) which is generally flat in shape and extends vertically downwards from the inside of the cover to form intake (150) and outlet (160) compartments, connected by a passage beneath the lower edge of the partition. The partition creates a chicane for the fluid flow which promotes the separation of impurities from it, and it can also be equipped with a magnetic trap (170) and fixings (171,182) for a filter inside the outlet compartment. The magnetic trap can be fixed to the lower edge of the partition, extending horizontally on either side of it into the two compartments, and it can be made from a series of bar magnets spaced across the width of the partition. The filter can be fitted at an angle of approximately 30 degrees to the partition. USE/ADVANTAGE - Removal of organic and metallic particles from fluid esp hot water circuit. Can be fitted directly into water pipe to treat entire flow. |
