PURPOSE:To prevent an inflow of air around a carry path without filling with heat-resistant resin, in a flash fixing-device which causes a flash lamp to flash so as to melt and fix toner on a medium by its radiation heat. CONSTITUTION:In the flash fixing-device where a transparent member 23 is provided on the irradiation window of a lamp house 20 covering the flash lamp 21, and a toner image is melted and fixed by irradiating a medium having a toner image thereon with the radiant light of the flash lamp 21 from the irradiation window, the cooling air flow caused to flow in the axial direction of the flash lamp 21 of the lamp house 20 is produced by a cooling fan 26 provided in the air intake of the lamp house 20. |
