PURPOSE:To provide a tuner capable of receiving a signal from a satellite and a ground wave television broadcast signal which is compatible with multi- channel processing of the audio broadcast by CATV. CONSTITUTION:The frequency conversion is implemented twice by using 1st and 2nd frequency converters 116, 120. The conversion signal frequency of the 1st frequency converter is made to be the same as a satellite and a CATV to allow the satellite to be shared with CATV audio broadcast reception converter. The tuner is compatible with even multi-channel processing of the audio broadcast by implementing frequency conversion twice and allowing the satellite to be shared with CATV audio broadcast reception converter and the circuit configuration is simple and the handleability is improved. Furthermore, The satellite television broadcast and the ground television broadcast are easily received by setting the intermediate frequency converted by the frequency converters to a frequency equal to a satellite 2nd intermediate frequency signal of a ground television intermediate frequency signal.
