PURPOSE:To provide the image forming device where carrying failure or fixing failure of transfer material are not generated even when failure in fixing temperature is generated after the start of paper feeding and a good image can be outputted. CONSTITUTION:In the color image forming device provided with a detection means detecting the fixing temperature and a means to separate the transfer material P from a transfer roller 10 and carrying it to a fixing device 25 after transferring a toner image on a photosensitive drum 1 to the transfer material P on the transfer roller 10, the carrying of the transfer material P is stopped until the temperature of the fixing device 25 is recovered to a target value when the temperature of the fixing device is deficient after the start of the paper feeding. Thus, since the transfer material P can be held on the transfer roller 10 in a state where the transfer roller 10 and the photosensitive drum 1 are separated until the fixing temperature is recovered from when the failure in fixing temperature is detected, carrying failure or fixing failure are not generated and the good image can be outputted even when the failure in the fixing temperature is generated after the start of the paper feeding. |
