PURPOSE:To provide the digital mobile telephone system which prevents speaking from being unexpectedly disconnected or being handed off even in the area of weak radio waves. CONSTITUTION:A threshold value judge part 15 judges whether field intensity is higher than a prescribed threshold value or not, and a counter judge part 16 judges whether the number of times for the threshold value judge part 15 to judge that the field intensity is higher than the threshold value, namely, the value of a counter 14 is larger than a prescribed value or not. When the counter judge part 16 judges that the number of times for the field intensity to be higher than the threshold value is more than the fixed number of times, a control part 7 calculates the average value of field intensity higher than the threshold value and when the counter judge part 16 judges the number of times for the field intensity to be higher than the threshold value is less than the fixed number of times, the control part calculates the average value of all the field intensity and reports the calculated result to a base station as the average value of field intensity.
