<p>PURPOSE:To achieve that a semiconductor element housed at the inside is operated normally and stably for a long time by a method wherein a container which is composed of an insulating base body and a lid body is airtightly sealed completely, external lead terminals are attached and fixed firmly to the container and the individual external lead terminals are maintained to be electronically independent. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor device is composed of a semiconductor element 3, of a container 4 which houses the semiconductor element 3 at the inside and of external lead terminals 7 which are attached and bonded to the container 4 via glass members 5, 6 and which connect the semiconductor element 3 housed at the inside of the container 4 to external electric circuits. In the semiconductor device, a solder-or tin-plated layer 10 is applied to the surface of the external lead terminals 7 and the exposed surface of the glass members 5, 6 is covered with a resin coating material 9.</p> |
