PURPOSE:To remove defective parts of a coil without decrease in product yield of an annealed steel sheet coil, by installing a controlling system on the downstream side of an annealing furnace of a continuous annealing apparatus for cold rolled steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:In a continuous annealing apparatus provided with a tracking signal generator 30, a defect detector 31, a shear 13 on the downstream side from the outlet loop tower 6, a tracking signal generator 26, and a defect detector 27 are also installed on the upstream side from the outlet loop tower 6. Defect distribution state in a supply coil A is previously simulated, simultaneously the positions of cut portion and running speed of the coil are predetermined by an arithmetic unit 32. When the cut portion is detected by the signal generator 30 and the defect detector 31, cutting of the predetermined portion by a shear 13, or change in running speed are conducted by the command of the arithmetic unit 32 according to set inputting unit 33. Hereby, the defective portions of a supply coil is efficiently removed without causing decrease in yield of a product coil, and the productivity is increased. |
