PURPOSE:To prevent the wrongful use of others' magnetic cards by using an algorithm, which cannot be found directly from magnetic cards to compare a key input key code and the key code of the magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:When a customer inserts his magnetic card, recording contents of it are read out by card reader 14 and are set in data buffer 15. Meanwhile, when the customer operates ten-keys 10 to input his key code, for example, 1234, this code is operated together with a set code, which is set by setting board 11 by the bank side, in operation circuit 12, and this operation value is supplied to code table 13, and, for example, 3685, namely, the key code of the magnetic card is outputted from table 13. This data is compared with data set in buffer 15 by comparator circuit 16, and the next processing is performed in case of agreement. |
