PURPOSE:To easily cope with corrections, etc., of a layout by shortening a pattern collection plate output processing period of time. CONSTITUTION:An HD 8 is stored with pattern data read by an input scanner and layout pattern data inputted through a digitizer, etc. A layout work station 6 transfers the data to a RAM 20 and a CPU 17 generates a pattern data transfer table. In this table, address values of pattern data in mask figures of respective patterns stored in the RAM 20, address values of line buffers 21 and 22 as transfer destinations for the pattern data, etc., are determined. On the basis of this transfer table, a DMA controller 19 reads necessary pattern data and tint data out of the RAM 20 and transfers them to respective buffers 21-24. Pattern/tint selection buffers 25 and 26 select pattern data and tint data. |
