PURPOSE:To eliminate the disturbance of the sound pressure characteristics of the tweeter for the composite coaxial speaker by forming the diaphragm flat for the woofer speaker along with its edge shaped wavelike each. CONSTITUTION:Diaphragm 4b of woofer 1 is made flat, and wavelike edges 5b and 5c support diaphragm 1. As a result, soun 7 traveling from tweeter 2 along diaphragm 4b receives no undesired reflection since edges 5b and 5c are put nearly even level to the baffle surface of cabinet 3. Thus the sound pressure characteristics on the main axle surface features the one proper to the tweeter. |
