PURPOSE:To make it possible to extend a wiring distance between a servo motor and an encoder. CONSTITUTION:A slit pattern corresponding to the rotational angle of a rotary slit plate 4 fixed on a shaft 3 of a servo motor is detected by a light receiving element 5. An output from the element 5 is converted into serial data by a parallel/serial light conversion base 2 and the serial data are outputted from an optical data link 6 to an optical fiber cable 8 as an optical signal output. The cable 8 is connected to a feedback signal input part 10 of a servo driver 9. Since the optical fiber cable is used, noise resistance can be improved as compared with a convensional wire cable and long wiring can be attained. |
