PURPOSE:To exactly express the soft pedal effect of the grand piano by separately storing the waveforms of soft padal ON and OFF and selecting the waveform corresponding to the operation of soft pedals at the time of play. CONSTITUTION:On a keyboard 101, a press key detection part 102 outputs press key information to a waveform selection part 103 and a soft effect addition part 109 respectively. When a soft pedal 107 is operated, a soft pedal detection part 108 detects a stepping amount and outputs it as a depth value to the waveform selection part 103 and the soft effect addition part 109. The waveform selection part 103 selects the waveform corresponding to the note number of press key information, velocity and depth value of the soft pedal and sends it to an address generation part 104 together with the press key information. When the depth value of the soft pedal is maximum at such a time, soft pedal ON is judged and the waveform in a waveform storage part 106 for soft pedal ON is selected. When the depth value is an intermediate value between zero and maximum, intermediate tone work processing is performed by the soft effect addition part 109. |
