PURPOSE:To increase the throwing power in an exciting lamp higher than conventional one by a method wherein cerium or chrome is contained in the title filter for a solid state element containing neodymium as the laser active ions. CONSTITUTION:Within the title filter 10, cerium or chrome is contained in either one element out of the following elements i.e., yttrium, aluminum, garnet, yttrium, alminate, gadolium, gullium, garnet, gadolium, scandium, aluminum, garnet, gadolinium, scandium, gullium, garnet, yttrium, lithium, fluoride, corundum crystal, emerald crystal. Thus, not only the laser beams not exceeding 200Angstrom can be shielded without fail but also the thermal conductivity can be increased. Accordingly, the throwing power in an exciting lamp can be made higher than concentional one. |
