PURPOSE:To make it possible to process recognition information on the characters which is printed by an OCR or is handwritten in the same way as the key operation input from a keyboard device and to recognize also pieces of input information whose shape are the same or similar each other by discrimi nating them. CONSTITUTION:When the information on printed or handwritten characters, etc., is optically read, is inputted and recognized, the recognition code is converted into a keyboard operation code, further, it is converted into the keyboard signal corresponding to a system device and it is outputted to a system device 3. The kind of character is switched according to the kind of the character in inputted information, the evaluation value corresponding to the switched kind of character is discriminated out of the evaluation values for each kind of character to be used for the recognition of inputted information by a character kind judgment part 17 and the recognition code to be outputted ins decided out of the candidates of the recognition result of the inputted information by a candidate determination part 18 based on the evaluation value. |
