PURPOSE:To prevent faulty actuation caused by dust or rust formed when a movable member is not actuated for a long time by actuating a movable part plural times after detecting that a power source is turned on. CONSTITUTION:When a program is started, initialization processing at the time of turning on the power source is performed. Continuously, a clutch and a solenoid controlling a roller which comes in contact with paper, such as a bypass solenoid 50, a bypass clutch 51, and pickup clutches 54 and 55, are turned on/off specified number of times. When a main motor 47 is turned on, a clutch and a solenoid controlling a roller which does not come in contact with the paper, such as paper feeding clutches 52 and 53, and a resist solenoid 56, are turned on/off specified number of times. Then, the clutch and the solenoid controlling the roller which comes in contact with the paper are turned on/off again. Paper carrying action is performed in a state where the paper is not supplied in order to examine whether or not the paper is jammed on a paper carrying path. |
