PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of the length and thickness perpendicularly to the tangent direction of an image and the distinct display of a measuring section. CONSTITUTION:Segments 2b, 3b intersecting orthogonally with the segment connecting a beginning point caliber marker and a moving caliper marker are displayed in superposition on the beginning point caliber marker 2a when the caliper marker 2a is displayed by assigning the beginning point on an ultrasonic diagnostic image 1 and the caliper marker is moved. The segment connecting the caliper markers 2a, 3a is maintained perpendicularly to the tangent direction when the segment intersecting orthogonally with the beginning point caliber marker is aligned to the direction of the tangent of the ultrasonic diagnostic image. The caliber maker is moved to the end point, and the length, thickness, etc., are measured by reading the value displayed on a screen. The segment 2b, 3b play the role of size leading out lines and, therefore, the section where the measurement is made is elucidated. |
