PURPOSE:To interrupt unnecessary signals within a CCD by making an on-off control of a reset transistor provided at the output of the CCD by means of an external pulse, in addition to a CP control. CONSTITUTION:A charge signal is delivered to a floating junction 36 and is converted into a voltage which is then derived from a terminal 38. An unnecessry signal interrupting pulse i is applied to the terminal 43 of an OR gate 41 over a period l. A pulse j applied to a reset gate 39 maintains a high level. Therefore, the gate 39 is held in ON state to maintain a constant voltage at the floating junction 36, and a constant signal is derived from the terminal 38. This is because the amount of charge transferred when the gate 39 takes the ON state is sufficienty larger than the amount of signal transferred under the electrodes 31, 32, 35. In the period m, the pulse i for interrupting the unnecessary signal resumes a low level so that an operation is made in the similar manner as in the period k. It is thus possible to interrupt the unnecessary signal in CCD device by means of a pulse applied to the reset gate 39. |
