PURPOSE:To shorten the time for heating a glass blank material to a required temp. and to provide the transporting member having poor wettability with glass. CONSTITUTION:A chromium oxide film 2 consisting essentially of chromium oxide is formed over the entire surface of WC base material 3 of the transporting member 1 for holding the glass blank material 4. This chromium oxide well absorbs the radiation radiated in a heating furnace and efficiently heats the transporting member 1. The chromium oxide easily radiates the IR rays and efficiently heats the glass blank material 4 held therein, thereby shortening the heating time of the glass blank material 4. Further, the chromium oxide has high-temp. stability and prevents the fusion with the glass blank material. |
