PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic composition for multilayer substrate, sinterable at a relatively low temperature, having a thermal expansion coefficient close to that of silicon and small dielectric constant and capable of decreasing the temperature-dependency of the dielectric capacitance of a capacitor formed in a multilayer substrate by a circuit pattern. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by adding <=20 pts.wt. of SrTiO3 or CaTiO3 as a subsidiary component to 100 pts.wt. of a cordierite-B2 O3-SiO2 main component material composed of 40-85wt.% of cordierite, 10-40wt.% of boron (in terms of B2O3) and 5-50wt.% of silicon (in terms of SiO2). |
