<p>PURPOSE:To furthermore improve safety of a rear wheel steering vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering mechanism 1 performs steering by moving a tie rod 18 for rear wheels connected with two rear wheels 15, by means of mechanisms such as a motor 21, a pinion 20, and a rack 19, so as to realize the rear wheel steering angle set by means of a controller 13 according to the steering angle of front wheels 2 and vehicle speed. For preventing to realize excessive steering angle on the rear wheels 15 so as to be harmful for running stability, a large steering angle limiting groove 24 of wide width and a small steering angle limiting groove 27 of narrow width are formed on the surface of the tie rod 18 for the rear wheels, a fixed large steering angle stopper 25 is inserted into the former so as to restrain the upper limit value of the rear wheel steering angle. A steering angle limiting stopper 28 always pressed by a spring is engaged with the latter groove 27, and the rear wheel steering angle can be further restrained, but the steering angle limiting stopper 28 can be moved to a non-engaged position by means of a solenoid coil 30.</p> |
