<p>PURPOSE:To minimize the whole longitudinal dimension of a opening/closing device for a door provided at a safety fence. CONSTITUTION:A fence is provided along the rail side end of a platform 26, and a doorway 21 opened/closed by a door 22 is provided in the position, coinciding with a vehicle getting-on/off port, of this fence. A door opening/closing drive unit 23 for opening/closing the door 22 is further provided to form a safety fence device. A case 24 is provided in such a way as to form one side part of the doorway 21 of the fence. The door 22 is formed into sector shape, and the position corresponding to the pivotal position is rotatably supported by a shaft 32 to the doorway side upper part in the case 24. The door 22 is placed in the closed state at the time of being rotated in such a state that one linear edge 30 of the sector shape crosses the doorway 21 and the other linear edge 31 is positioned vertically in the case 24, and the door 22 is placed in the opened state at the time of being rotated in such a state as to be enclosed in the case 24.
